Machiavelli has never won but wasn't beaten far when dropped back to this trip at Redcar on Monday. His stable companion Prize Winner looks to have more of a chance after showing easily his best form to date when tackling 1m4f at Leopardstown a fortnight ago. ROYAL ADMIRAL lost his maiden tag with a comfortable victory over the trip at Cork last week and though 5lb higher his rider's claim takes care of a couple of pounds so he can complete a double.
