Verdict
Aldo Raine was unfancied at Navan three weeks ago and couldn't go the pace over the minimum trip. Mint Chai has been a bit unfortunate not to lose his maiden tag and is certain to make a bold bid but his form ties in with a couple of Jim Bolger-trained runners so the in-form handler should know how he stands via ESCONDIDA. He made his debut in what looked a decent maiden at Naas last month and though missing the break managed to get in front before weakening close home. With that under his belt he's taken to see off Miss Phillyjinks, who though well beaten by the much more experienced Birdcage at Dundalk showed plenty of potential. Kevin Prendergast won the first running of this a year ago so his newcomer Rathbride Raven is worth a look.
