Some top-class hurdlers have won this down the years and this season's renewal looks well up to standard. Gagewell Flyer never threatened and was pulled up in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham but it would be no surprise to see him bounce back over the shorter trip here. Stablemate Lambro won easily at Naas last month and is still on the upgrade, while Perfect Smile looked a decent prospect before the turn of the year and is upped in distance after getting outpaced over 2m1f at Aintree. Gift Of Dgab has only once failed to finish in the first two in seven starts over timber and Pineau De Re's form also stands up to the closest scrutiny. But Philip Fenton also saddles LAST INSTALMENT, who may yet prove to be a lot better than he's shown so far. The six-year-old is the type keeping finding more when required and his accurate jumping will stand him in good stead here off what is sure to be a strong pace.
