RED BASIL went up 9lb for scoring on only his fourth start over fences at Gowran last month and though subsequently beaten into third at Wexford can bounce back here. Arklow Ger likes fast ground though his success over timber at Naas in February was gained in testing conditions. He should get involved as should Askmeroe, though Tony Martin's charge is 6lb higher than when runner-up to Wicklow Lad at Navan last time. Guts For Garters has yet to score over fences but his recent second to Hold The Pin at Tramore was his best effort to date and he looks reasonably handicapped.
