      Verdict

The more powerful Newmarket yards often target maidens at this track and today's opener is no exception. The filly She Wolf may prove the pick of Michael Bell's trio while fellow newcomer Chat Room cost 150,000 guineas as a yearling and is closely related to winners in France and the States. John Gosden's Polperro is a half-brother to a Listed winner in France but AMHRAN wasn't unduly punished when second on his debut at Kempton in August and the form of that race has worked out well - he can make his experience count here. Apparel should strip fitter for her reappearance at Windsor and may prove best of the rest.
