KEMBOY has spent almost his entire career in Grade 1 company, winning four among his nine victories. He couldn't live with Galopin Des Champs in the Irish Gold Cup three weeks ago, a race he won in 2021, but this is a big drop in class. Stable companion Carefully Selected won two Grade 3 races as a novice and has returned from a very long break in good form and was conceding the runner-up a stone when landing the Thyestes Handicap at Gowran with Pencilfulloflead five lengths behind. Last year's Thyestes winner Longhouse Poet has been hurdling since his sixth in the Grand National, presumably to protect his handicap mark, and a big run is expected here while Farclas is smart on his day and is also entered at Aintree.
