In depth

Verdict

Willie Mullins continues to dominate Irish racing and appears to have found an ideal opening for VESPER BELL to make a winning start though his pedigree is nothing startling and he should do better when sent jumping. Those with experience look a moderate bunch though Battle Bound has come up against some useful opposition and probably has some more improvement in him. Aupcharlie was just touched off when sent to Hexham for his opening run and probably produced a better effort at Down Royal on his only subsequent start, while Double Ross showed good pace for a long way when third at Navan and will have benefited from the experience.
