Verdict

GALOPIN DES CHAMPS will be at short odds to gain compensation for his last-fence fall in a Cheltenham Grade 1 where he handed the race to Bob Olinger. The latter's stablemate Riviere D'etel didn't look quite at her best in the Arkle and her earlier form, especially when a close second to Ferny Hollow at Leopardstown, makes her the main danger. Master McShee was nine lengths behind the selection in a Leopardstown Grade 1 and his earlier victory at that level at Limerick came on heavy ground. Beacon Edge jumped poorly at Cheltenham but has a Grade 1 victory over the track and trip to his credit though, like the remaining pair, has it all to do.
