In depth

Verdict

Brookie made a very encouraging debut at Leopardstown last month and can only improve. He had the much more experienced Chuffer Dandridge behind while En Avant was well supported when tackling 2m2f at Clonmel and only gave way on the run-in. GORGEOUS SUSPECT hasn't run since last May when an excellent third behind the very smart Banbridge, form that should be good enough if he's ready after a break. Winning bumper Imperial Ruler made a bold bid on his hurdles debut at Down Royal and only succumbed in the closing stages. Distant Chimes, four times an all-weather winner in the UK, is an interesting recruit for Henry De Bromhead.
