AFTER came in for strong support in a Group 3 at Naas on Wednesday but couldn't cope with Marvada or runner-up Caprella. Her earlier run when narrowly beaten by Fire Lily over this trip at Leopardstown should be good enough for this though Slade Power is an improving colt who won a Listed contest at Haydock last month. The ground was fast that day, however, and he faces much more testing conditions for the first time here and it remains to be seen how he copes. Gordon Lord Byron was conceding 5lb to Arctic when beating him 3l at Cork in May and should confirm the form while Santo Padre is usually thereabouts at this level though he was beaten in this a year ago and faces a similar task with his penalty.
