In depth

Verdict

Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott had this between them for eight seasons before Marine Nationale interrupted the sequence last year. This year's renewal lacks quality in depth for a Grade 1 but Jack Kennedy is on board easy Clonmel maiden winner Farren Glory of Elliott's three entries while Paul Townend rides Bialystok for the champion trainer, though his mount has been a bit underwhelming since landing a Punchestown handicap in April. Encanto Bruno steps up in grade after landing a Cheltenham novices' contest but should be up to winning at a high level while AN TOBAR comes here directly from winning a maiden on this track. The latter looks a fine prospect and gets the nod to make the transition though it wouldn't be a shock to see any of the remainder come out on top.
