Batman Girac went for €150,000 after scoring on heavy ground at Compiegne in April and has joined Willie Mullins, who won this a year ago with Lossiemouth. Eagle Fang was conceding 7lb when narrowly beaten by smart-looking newcomer Fratas on heavy ground here last month with the remainder in another parish. Gordon Elliott has two entered with Jack Kennedy on board KALA CONTI, another Compiegne winner who made all for a facile victory at Navan. She takes on much better rivals here but looks one to follow. Nurburgring finished first past the post before placed second at Listowel and the form of the race has worked out brilliantly. Nara cantered home on heavy ground at Auteuil in April and could be anything, though the placed horses have been beaten subsequently.
