In depth

Verdict

After his two opening runs of the campaign, MONSIEUR POWER would have been expected to have scored by now but he's lacked a finishing kick in his last two starts. He has still performed with credit in all of his races and this looks a decent opportunity to get off the mark. Johnny Lawman could do better on this quicker ground and a market check is advised while Insearchofadream has been racing over further. Bilderberg made a very encouraging debut behind the long odds-on Sparrow at the Curragh but that was in October and the form hasn't worked out. Ger Lyons also runs Belts And Braces, a daughter of Big Bad Bob out of a 6f winner, and she should have plenty of pace though it's another newcomer, Dermot Weld's son of Azamour Next Bend who could pose the biggest threat.
