Enter The Priory is still a maiden after 15 starts but found 1m1f much too far at Ballinrobe last week and had been running well over this trip previously. Longfield Lad has never won in 24 starts on Turf but went very close at Naas last time when just failing to hold the late thrust of Ask Dad. A 7lb rise looks a bit harsh though it will be a surprise if he's not in the shake-up. THE FAIRY, a winner at Wolverhampton for John Gosden, showed her liking for fast ground with a very good second behind Wardell over 7f at Gowran and the third has come out and won subsequently so that form should be good enough for this. Staccato Wolf has shown a bit of potential in just six starts and is well enough treated to make his presence felt.
