C'EST JERSEY can get the year off to a great start for the champion trainer. The French import started a short price for his debut for the yard at Navan but found the 66/1 chance Any Second Now just too quick over the minimum trip. He'll be better for the run and over a longer trip so should gain compensation. Woods Well looks a major threat after a very promising hurdling debut behind the potentially useful Dr Mikey at Cork where he was conceding 7lb. Winning point-to-pointer Fitzhenry will have found the minimum trip too short at Navan so this should be much more to his liking but Aimin For Anna was beaten a very long way on her reappearance in a handicap at Punchestown. Gettysburg Address won a Navan bumper in February and there was plenty to like about his debut over hurdles at Naas in November.
