None of those with hurdling experience have looked anything out of the ordinary; this may rest between the two newcomers Tirailleur and The Palletman, with the latter getting the nod. From a yard that has had a winner and a second from it's last two runners over timber, they are clearly in decent form and with the booking of Tony McCoy an added bonus, The Palletman is taken to make a winning debut over timber. Tirailleur, useful at a lower level on the flat, isn't guaranteed to stay this far over hurdles, but if he does, he must be a threat. He is out of a maiden mare, who only managed to be placed once in ten outings. Academy Brief, a poor maiden on the flat, has shown precious little in three outings over hurdles and it would be a surprise if he were good enough, even at this level. While he was in front of Fattan at Newton Abbot, it would come as no surprise to see roles reversed here. Dear Sir did show a little ability in maiden company on the flat, and if learning from his hurdling debut at Bangor last month, must go well at this level, but this will take no winning and looks an ideal opening for The Palletman to make a winning debut.
