With the weights having gone up 7lbs overnight, Satshoon hasn't been done any favours but he may still be good enough to see off the likes of Linus and Sovereign, even though there must be a slight doubt about him on the fast ground. Satshoon has proved wonderfully consistent having only been out of the frame over both hurdles and fences five times in 18 races, winning nine times along the way. He is at his best going this way around and as he is much better treated over timber compared to his chasing mark, he looks the one to be with. Selling hurdle winner Linus has more to do in this company, but he does handle fast ground and will be difficult to keep out of the frame, while Sovereign is another who has proved consistent through the summer, albeit in small fields. There are no doubts about her regarding the trip/ground and she looks sure to give a good account. Forest Ivory is a light of former days, while Aliabad has a stiff task from out of the Handicap. So, it is worth taking a chance with Satshoon to outclass his rivals, despite reservations about the fast ground.
