Verdict

Even though this race has attracted just the six runners, it's an interesting affair and it might just go to Totheroadyouvgone, who gets the call ahead of Dunster Castle and Silver Pot Black. The Irish-trained selection looks fairly weighted on the best of his recent Irish form and was running well when unlucky to run out at Newton Abbot on his last visit to these shores and could possibly make amends for that here. Much as Dunster Castle is three-pounds above a best previous winning mark, he was returning from a 10-month absence when finishing a very good second at Stratford last time and is fully entitled to respect on the back of that effort. Lord Seamus is often placed but was gaining only his second career win when scoring over a slightly longer trip here last time. He has been raised nine pounds for that effort, which will not make life easy, although he jumped well on that occasion and clearly goes well at this venue. Bush Park is now a pound-lower in the ratings than when scoring at Chepstow last November and can be given a chance on that basis, while the lightly raced five-year-old, Shining Lights, was in the process of running a good race before falling four out on her chasing debut and, if the market vibe is a good one for her, she could go well. Working on formlines using Garolsa, Silver Pot Black looks well weighted with Lord Seamus, and although he has two ways of running, has to be considered here. Once again, though, we are going to side with Totheroadyouvgone.
