On all known form there are very few that can be given chances here and the vote goes to Odagh Odyssey over Mister Flint and, possibly, Kosmos Bleu. Mister Flint had shown promise before he scored at Worcester last time and, accordingly, is given an excellent chance in this event for novices but, on official ratings the highest-rated horse in the contest is Odagh Odyssey, but not by much. However, given that he is very consistent and, also has the assistance of Tony McCoy, he just gets the call. Despite having been very disappointing since, a return to the form that saw Kosmos Bleu finish a head second to Wild Oats over today's course and distance last November would give him a respectable chance. Watch the market very carefully with regard to his chance as he might have had a breathing operation in the close-season. Of the others, Vin du Pays has shown some promise in two hurdling starts and might bag some money but Mevagissey was a remote third in a modest event last time at Newton Abbot. So, once again, for the winner we return to Odagh Odyssey.
