In depth

Verdict

Only three turn out here, but it has the makings of a closely run affair. Jimmy Frost has made a great start to his training career, with 14 wins rattled up already. Saffron Lord helped contribute to that total when scoring here over the course and distance last week, relishing the fast ground on what was only his fourth start over fences. A 7lb penalty should not stop him making a bold bid to follow up. It will not be easy though, as Twisted Logic continues to run well in the face of some stiff tasks set by the handicapper, including when going down with all guns blazing at Fontwell last week. The suspicion is that this trip is the least he wants though, and he might be tapped for toe at the finish. As for Ashley Muck, he has been lightly raced since winning at Uttoxeter in September 2001, and takes a drop in class after finishing fourth at Kempton last time. We are happy to row in with Saffron Sun to give Frosty another winner.
