In depth

Verdict

Label Des Obeaux had an easy task last time at Ludlow but his earlier placed form stands up to scrutiny, especially his second here on debut behind American. However, we’re loath to desert WILD WEST WIND (NAP), who has looked a highly progressive novice in victories at Wincanton and Hereford. He was given a very confident ride by Adrian Heskin last time and the handicapper has only been able to raise him 3lb. Herbert Park has shown nothing in two runs over fences so far but still finished ahead of the disappointing In The Rough at Uttoxeter. Ugolin De Beaumont is out of the handicap and probably out of his depth as well.
