Verdict

THE TOTHER ONE can make a winning debut over fences by repelling the challenges of Gone To Lunch and Spare Cash. The selection has his quirks as he showed when wandering around at the bottom of the hill at the finish of the Spa Novices' Hurdle but his connections are alive to the way that he needs to be ridden and he's a classy performer. Those kinks may be ironed out as he matures and more can be expected from him over fences given that he's a half-brother to Thisthatandtother. Arguably, Gone To Lunch was a shade disappointing on his return over course and distance when fourteen lengths clear of Overclear but that run should have blown away the cobwebs and he has to be respected as he was closely matched with the selection over hurdles. Khasab and Spare Cash should both win races over fences but they have plenty to find with the aforementioned pair on their form over timber. Both are bred to make chasers with the latter's family offering further cause for optimism as he's a half-brother to the talented D'Argent. A cracking heat but there'll be some long faces if The Tother One doesn't open his account.
