Division One of the maiden looks wide open with a number of newcomers joining some who've shown little so far, so only a tentative nod goes in the direction of OUR DAY WILL COME, in preference to Thaumatology and Freepressionist. Richard Hannon's filly is among the most experienced, and has been racing at a better grade than this. The drop down will suit as should a return to 7 furlongs, and she could repay those who heavily backed her last time. She's making her debut on the all-weather. Of the other two on our shortlist, both are having their second outing. Freepressionist was solid but unspectacular on debut at Folkestone earlier in the month, but she's entitled to come on for that run. Thaumatology, Marco Botti's runner, was well down the field in a similar race at Kempton, but again the experience will hold her in good stead. She's a half sister to 2000 Guineas winner Rodrigo de Triano. Both have advantageous high draws. There's not a great deal to beat here, and our selection is Our Day Will Come.
