In depth

Verdict

Given an outing at Wincanton late last season SAINT DE REVE, who is a brother to two winners in France, made late headway without being unduly punished. He’ll be more the finished article this year and can open his account. Hurricane Harvey is a brother to the versatile Kumbeshwar and related to five winners on the Flat. Second in a point-to-point, he treads a well-worn path for Fergal O’Brien bumper horses. Young Lieutenant made a promising start at Wetherby and all three newcomers are worth considering, especially the Trevor Hemmings-owned Dhowin and the jumps-bred Little Ginge.
