Rollo is becoming rather expensive to follow and the Philip Hobbs-trained gelding is probably best watched in a race taken to go to Karoo, who is preferred to Grey Shark. The selection is trained by Paul Nicholls and has shown enough in novice events to suggest that he is well enough treated to play a part on his debut in a handicap today. Granted normal improvement for what was effectively his first run of the season at Fontwell, having unseated Ruby Walsh at the second flight on his reappearance, Karoo looks the one to be on. Grey Shark ran a race full of promise on his return at Newton Abbot recently but a 5lb rise in the weights since then leaves Paul Keane's gelding with more to do, while Mighty Minster has an absence to overcome and may be best watched. Valley Warrior and He's The Guv'nor make only limited appeal in a race that is taken to go to Karoo.
