In depth

Verdict

Definity, a promising staying hurdler when last seen, has to be of interest despite returning from a long lay-off. The seven-year-old has only had four career starts so still has time on his side but he is making his fencing debut against decent opposition. Hopeful Start outpointed Adams Island over hurdles last March but has his first start since pulling up at Aintree the following month and we prefer the claims of WYMOTT. Well regarded by connections, the six-year-old boasted excellent form over hurdles last season and had little more than an exercise canter when scoring at Bangor last month - he already looks a smart prospect.
