Maximize is never easy to catch right but showed signs of a return to form at Sandown last time and is taken to resume winning way sat the main expense of Jimmy Tennis and Twisted Logic. The selection is only 1lb higher than when landing the Kim Muir at Cheltenham last season and with conditions ideal today (three miles on good ground) Martin Pipe's gelding is taken to step up again on his third behind Historic. Jimmy Tennis ran well enough in the face of a stiff task in a better race than this behind One Knight at Chepstow on his return earlier this month and has to be respected. The Venetia Williams-trained gelding certainly makes more appeal than Lucky Leader, who looks to be in the grip of the handicapper at present. Belski hails from a stable in form but Colin Tizzard's gelding has given little sign for encouragement in three starts this term. Walter's Destiny faces a difficult task from 12lbs out of the weights and a bigger threat may come from Twisted Logic, who is closely matched with Lucky Leader on running here behind Tresor de Mai but whose stable is in better form now. Maximize is well treated on his best though and having shown signs of a return to that at Sandown last time is taken to bounce back to winning ways.
