Coeur D'Alene heads the short-list from Cee Cee Rider and Pitful Tercah. The selection may not be on to rely on at a short price as his win at Taunton was his first in twenty seven attempts under both codes. Decent recent form is thin on the ground in this contest though so that win alone is enough to earn him the vote despite his record and the handicapper's attentions. Cee Cee Rider is bred to stay this far but her recent performances cannot really be put down to an inadequate test of stamina. However, she did shape well on her hurdling debut over 2 miles at Towcester back in November and is not without claims if recapturing that form. Pitful Tercah returned a beaten favourite in the race won by the selection last time. There were no obvious excuses for his defeat that day but he has winning form in similar contests and cannot be ignored but we'll take Coeur D'Alene to confirm the places en route to victory.
