In depth

Verdict

A visor on for the first time may bring about some improvement in Brousse En Feux and whilst it would need to, the opposition doesn't look too strong; Haligreen looks the most likely danger. The selection has shown a modest level of ability in his British starts, and now swaps cheek-pieces for a visor. The drop in trip today may suit and with the stable in good form a big run looks imminent. Golden Sprite, a newcomer to the hurdles game, needs a check in the betting as she was half-decent on the flat without being anywhere near spectacular. Yellow Jersey could run well after a summer off, especially as the form of her latest runs looks fairly solid. Haligreen ran a decent race when fourth on her reappearance at Plumpton and if she can improve her jumping slightly then she may well get competitive over this shorter trip. At a price Sunday City could improve for her reappearance effort, however Brousse En Feux looks the best of a bad bunch.
