Verdict

The veteran Eminent Poet made a belated chasing debut in a three-runner race at Ludlow in May where he finished a close second but neither winner or third have done much for the form. Dual hurdles winner Blackjack Magic had no answer to Eden Du Houx at Ffos Las in November but the third won at Chepstow on Sunday. ROSE OF ARCADIA, unbeaten in three starts between the flags, has also won twice over hurdles and landed a handicap chase at Fontwell last month in impressive fashion. She's been raised 5lb but looks the one to beat though Anglers Crag, another point-to-point and hurdles winner, was in touch when falling on his debut over regulation fences here on New Year's Day and has some scope.
