In depth

Verdict

It’s almost two years since Jarlath last won over fences but he’s now 3lb lower and he’s picked up a couple of jumpers’ bumpers since the turn of the year so arrives in good form. The luckless Scartare is now 0-36 but TUDORS TREASURE (NAP) is a standing dish here and landed this 12 months ago. He’s only a pound higher today and has only run twice since, finishing a close third in December here last time. Bardd looked set to record a rare victory at Warwick 11 days ago when leading over the last but got mugged on the run-in and there is no guarantee he’ll reproduce that effort here. This Breac seems to reserve his best for Leicester and Prince Llywelyn is proving frustrating to follow but Lamanver Bel Ami won twice in the autumn and Five Star Getaway landed a gamble at Wincanton last week and may have more to offer.
