A very open betting heat to start proceedings with Generous Ways, Ardwelshin and Sweet Auburn all having strong claims, however we will side with Figaro du Rocher. Martin Pipe's gelding bounced back to form over this trip at Taunton last week, finishing a close up fifth behind Imtihan, a repeat of that running should be good enough against these rivals. Sweet Auburn found the three mile trip at Ayr last time too taxing and did much better the time before when only beaten eight lengths behind Skenfrith at Newcastle. This further drop in distance shouldn't be a hindrance and she is expected to go close. Generous Ways has been well beaten on his last three outings but if he can recapture his December form when a close third behind Saafend Rocket he should be in the shake up. Ardwelshin's best form has been in sellers but he is weighted accordingly and could run into a place. So a very tricky event but we think Figaro Du Rocher can return to winning ways.
