Verdict

After a promising debut in a Lingfield bumper in January, GUEST OF HONOUR paid a return visit a couple of weeks later and started odds-on but couldn't quite manage a victory. He should do better on Turf and is taken to get off the mark. Quite By Chance showed his first sign of ability in a Chepstow bumper last month and wouldn't need to improve much but Straits Of Messina ran poorly at Ffos Las after a decent debut at Bangor. Calverleigh Court once looked promising but hasn't been seen since 2011.
