ANAY TURGE can gain due reward for some consistent efforts and is preferred to Ours and Bradford Boris. The form figures of Nigel Hawke's gelding are a little offputting but they are no reflection upon his desire to win and this race affords him the perfect opportunity to enjoy his moment in the limelight. The negatives include a rising handicap mark in defeat and two modest runs on his two visits to this track but he's been bumping into progressive performers and doesn't look likely to here. Bradford Boris shaped quite well on his chase bow but failed to build on that at Warwick next time so has to be forgiven that performance whilst the consistent Ours who has slipped back to a winning mark hasn't obviously shaped as though a return to his best is imminent. Gainsborough's Art and Tythenot are unexposed and thus open to improvement in theory whilst Kinkeel regularly makes the frame in contests of a similar nature and occasionally pops up but this is a modest affair that should go to Anay Turge if he can run up to form at this track.
