Verdict

Any market moves should be noted here, given that most of these are lightly raced but we think that TATANIANO can land it, with Blue Monty and Gabreselassie also in with solid chances. Paul Nicholls' runner came here after winning an Irish point to point on debut, and followed that up with victory in a modest Chepstow bumper, before a decent second at Kempton in November. He's related to a winning chaser in France, and that may be his game in time. A likely front runner, he might go through the race without seeing a rival. Blue Monty has only had a couple of runs despite being the oldest here at seven. Third on debut here he then disappointed last time out. Our Hero makes his debut under rules after a couple of Irish point to point runs, one of which he won and the other in which he fell. It's not a great looking contest to open with, with a number of imponderables, but we think it can go the way of Tataniano.
