Verdict

Elector was all out to hold off Jazeel at Newmarket but is only a pound worse off. He looks to have improved over the winter and fifth Al Muffrih franked that form earlier this week. But Roger Varian and Andrea Atzeni teamed up to win this in 2014 and also 12 months ago with the well-backed Ajman King and MOUNTAIN ANGEL (NAP) overcame traffic problems to beat subsequent Chester winner Aquarium with a bit in hand in the City And Suburban here last month. He’s been raised a further 5lb but is probably Listed class nowadays. Setting Sail beat two subsequent winners at Wolverhampton after a lay-off but was then only fourth at Ascot, though the drop back to 1m2f looks a plus. Borodin steps up from a mile and is tried in cheekpieces while Lorelina may still need another run to put her straight.
