Verdict

Three-year-olds have won the last two of theses and CROWNING GLORY can make it a hat-trick. Ralph Beckett's filly was suited by a strong test at Windsor where she galloped on resolutely and this track should bring out the best in her. Lorelina made a successful debut here a year ago but had shown nothing subsequently until gaining a shock victory on soft ground at Chepstow. She's only been raised 4lb and there's no reason why she shouldn't act on quicker going. Another from the younger brigade, The Invisible Dog, just failed with a powerful late run over 7f at Ffos Las and though he'd previously failed to stay this trip the ground was too soft for him. The Salmon Man has yet to win but went very close in a similar class handicap over the track and trip earlier this month and is an obvious contender while none of the remaining quartet can be dismissed in an open contest.
