      Verdict

      ONE BIG SURPRISE followed a good run over this trip at Brighton with a comfortable success over 6f on fast ground at Lingfield, where she won with a bit up her sleeve. A 4lb rise looks fair and a double looks on the cards. Canford Lilli showed a bit of potential last season but has hardly picked her feet up in two runs this term, though both have been on ground with give. First Experience was in touch for much of the way before fading over a mile on this track last month so she should be thereabouts, though Penny Dreadful could provide the main threat. Scott Dixon's filly was having her first start beyond 6f when a close fourth over this trip at Doncaster and that was a better class event than this.
