    Verdict

It's hard to place much faith in Strait Of Magellan after yet another second over 1m2f here last time when 5lb lower. Recent course winner Leah Freya is another climbing the weights while El Campeon failed in his hat-trick bid at Kempton, though did score over this course and distance earlier. Considering he's won seven times on Polytrack, old-timer SALIENT handles soft going surprisingly well and always had matters well in hand at Goodwood earlier this month. He could win again, despite racing from out of the handicap. Majestic Sun won this last year and is only a pound higher so can't be ignored.
