    Verdict

    KURTANELLA is taken to get the better of Pintura and Merseyside Star in the small field nursery. Richard Hannon's filly should be suited by this step up in trip and won quite cosily over 6f at Kempton last time. Good ground suits and a 5lb rise looks unlikely to prevent her notching up a third win from just six career starts. Pintura stuck on well to score at Redcar and is well worth trying over today's distance, which may help to elicit the improvement that he clearly needs if he is to defy a 6lb rise. Merseyside Star represents a yard in form and is another for whom this easy 7f is worth a stab, though recent form is not inspiring. Transfixed is still plenty high enough in the weights and the same can be said of Saxby, so we'll take Kurtanella to score.
