      Verdict

      Ban Shoof was narrowly beaten over 1m2f at Lingfield back in February and Dose was placed over the same distance at Ayr in May. But DUKE OF NORTH (NAP) has the more recent form with a success over course and distance a fortnight ago and he should make another bold bid with a 3lb rise cancelled out by an apprentice’s allowance. Shifting Star won at Brighton earlier this year and the veteran may prove best of the rest.
