Verdict
CELTIC SULTAN surrendered any chance at Ayr with a tardy start but the perennial seven-furlong specialist can recoup losses if he can gain an uncontested lead. Fathsta would have obvious claims on the pick of his form. David Simock's charge took on some tough assignments against the top Northern sprinters last season though he looks to have gone somewhat off the boil. New Leyf is tried in headgear after disappointing without it at Yarmouth while Cool Rhythm has to bounce back from a very moderate run on the Polytrack at Kempton. Indian Art accounted for a useful sort in My Kingdom at Wolverhampton but the handicapper has given him little respite and he has had to go down the claiming route.
