Sailing Through is on a roll and is fancied to complete a five-timer at the expense of Serieux and Island Light, with Adiemus and Crow Wood not out of it either. Sailing Through's winning run started in a class E handicap here at Epsom in July off a mark of 64, but such has been the improvement shown by Terry Mills' gelding that his latest victory came off 81 at Newbury. He has won by an aggregate of 17 lengths in all and will take some stopping in his current mood, and with Robert Miles once again able to utilise his five pounds claim. Serieux has gone off the boil since down the field in the Royal Hunt Cup but is classy at best, while Island Light ran much too freely when surprisingly beaten at Folkestone and should be capable of making his presence felt. Crow Wood had to quicken his own tempo at Ayr last time, so did it the hard way and is another not to rule out, while Lincoln runner-up Adiemus has not been seen since flopping badly in the John Smith's Cup and may be best watched. So, with Sailing Through in the form of his life at present, it is hard to escape his claims.
