pulled hard, tracked leaders, weakened over 3f out
tracked leader, led over 2f out, soon ridden and pressed from 2f out, carried left inside final furlong, ran on
chased leaders, not clear run over 2f out, switched left and stayed on one pace
held up, headway over 2f out, became unbalanced and hung left and every chance from 2f out, ran on
slowly away, soon recovered, held up in rear, ridden and outpaced from over 2f out
Just the six runners to choose from and, unless Andrew Balding's Princess Alina proves to be out of the ordinary, this looks a virtual match between Baker of Oz and Camrose, with preference for the former. The selection looked in need of the run when a highly creditable second to Carini at Salisbury and stepped on that when chasing home John Dunlop's Malin in a better race at Goodwood. A late foal, there is probably a lot more to come from Baker of Oz, who is preferred to Camrose. John Dunlop should have a good line to the selection through Malin but his representative lacks the scope of Richard Hannon's colt and may have to settle for minor honours again. Princess Alina is bred to make a better three-year-old being by Sadler's Wells and may need more time and, unless Imperial Royale makes dramatic improvement on his previous form, there is little else in the line up to worry Baker Of Oz.
