Blue Torpedo can reverse course and distance form with Gavroche on these terms, while Hayley Turner gets on very well with Magic Sting and is not without a chance of whittling away at the remnants of her 3lb claim. The in-form Del Mar Sunset adds a further betting dimension and is worth monitoring now that he has finally proved himself capable of wining over 10 furlongs. The ground is the issue with the last named, though, as William Haggas' charge needs to hear his hooves rattle to be at his best. Magic Sting won well at Windsor on his latest start and will be a potent force if he turns up in the same frame of mind. The Michael Bell-trained gelding is only 1lb higher in the ratings and looks sure to run his race. Gavroche is a battler and can also be relied upon to go close if he is in the mood. However, he has a 6lb penalty to contend with after winning here last month and needs to be at his very best to hold off the challengers today. Especially if Shane Kelly can get the best out of Blue Torpedo, who is very much favoured at the weights on this occasion. The selection has taken time to get the hang of things on turf but has been suited by the step up to this trip. Kelly almost got the best out of the son of Rahy 10 days ago and it will come as no surprise to see him make more use of his mount in the early stages to bolster his claims on this occasion.
