      Verdict

      MARSELAN's victories have come over 7f on ground quicker than he'll face here though he's on the upgrade and a chance is taken he'll act in the conditions. River Wharfe made all over 7f on fast going at Brighton but only hung on by a short-head and has never raced on soft ground. Ascraeus won by that same margin over a mile at Salisbury but won't mind the conditions and a 4lb rise looks reasonable. Mythical Madness has travelled a long way for this but was well beaten in a Beverley seller last time and Moonlighting has a long absence to overcome.
