In a tricky handicap, we will side with Alrafid, with Dumaran, Impeller, Voice Mail and Uhoomagoo possibly proving his main dangers. Looking at the field. Convent Girl looks opposable off topweight. Dumaran has been placed in valuable 10-furlong handicaps in each of his last two runs so it will be interesting to see how he fares back at a mile, although he is the only course and distance winner in the line-up. However, he should still go well, as should recent emphatic Doncaster winner Uhoomagoo, although he is now five pounds worse off for the four lengths that he beat Jay Gee's Choice at Town Moor. Impeller's second to Putra Kuantan at Sandown four days ago puts him firmly in the shake-up - Blue Trojan was three-parts of a length behind him that day and meets on the same terms here - while Alrafid is another to pay close attention to as he was an eyecatching sixth at Goodwood last time, a race in which he finished a neck in front of Impeller. Irony continues to struggle to get his head in front from his current mark, but his stablemate Voice Mail was an unlucky-in-running third at Bath last time from his current mark and can go well again. His stable had a very good day on this card last year. With Definite Guest possibly going to need the run and Sawwaah's overall form leaving him with a little to find, the wheel spins back to Alrafid, who is taken to land this extended-mile contest.
