REDREDROBIN continued her good progress with a cosy victory over track and trip three weeks ago. That was her fourth win of the year and another bold bid looks likely if handling the slower underfoot conditions. Last month’s Doncaster winner Kimnkate is another improving filly unproven on softer ground but Chasseral hasn’t shown the progress expected and drops back down in class. Storymaker and Puntarelle share ownership with cheekpieces applied to the former for this.
Redredrobin 11-4jfav (9-8) Made all, ridden over 1f out, pressed approaching final furlong, ran on, won at Epsom 7f hcp (5) gd in Jul beating Harb (9-8) by 1 1/4l, 8 ran.
Chasseral 10-3 (8-4) Keen, led after 1f, soon 3 lengths clear, pushed along 2f out, ridden and headed entering final furlong, weakened inside final furlong, 5th of 7, 8l behind Naomi Lapaglia (8-4) at Newmarket 7f hcp fll (2) gs in Jul.
Kimnkate (IRE) 4-5fav (9-9) Close up, wide and headway over 1f out, soon every chance, ridden to lead inside final furlong, ran on, readily, won at Doncaster 7f hcp fll (5) gf in Jul beating She's The Danger (9-5) by 3/4l, 7 ran.
Puntarelle 40-1 (8-8) Slowly into stride, pulled hard and held up, headway chasing leaders before halfway, led over 2f out, hung right and headed inside final 2f, weakened quickly final furlong, 8th of 11, 8 1/2l behind Roarin' Success (8-9) at Ascot 1m hcp fll (3) gs in Jul.
