Verdict

Dutch Uncle seems sure to be ridden aggressively again after making all last time at Lingfield, especially as he drops to this trip for the first time since late 2014. That will ensure he misses any of the likely scrimmaging but the nagging concern is that he has yet to encounter soft ground. Similar concerns are harboured about Fieldsman although he didn't go too badly on his sole career start on soft back in 2014. Nevertheless, he impressed when scoring at Newmarket last month on his first start for George Scott, doing so in a manner suggesting this first attempt at a mile shouldn't prove problematic. Jack's Revenge is going to come good one of these days but if EXAMINER, slightly tricky to catch right, can deliver his best on the back of a fine seasonal reappearance, he could just be the one with no ground concerns for the Williams gelding.
