      Verdict

      Subversive should go close to giving Mark Johnston a second successive victory in this race after Kosika's win 12 months ago. He'd been second three times in a row before his fourth at Chester, though has yet to win in Turf. He also has to give 6lb to Charlie Hills' PHARMACEUTICAL (NAP), who shaped with promise when a close-up third on his Turf debut over a mile at Haydock and is capable of further progress. Outer Space, Liberty Jack and East Coast Lady all need to improve on recent efforts but Tychaios won here in September and hasn't been beaten far in any of his five runs this year. Star Of The Stage was returning from a break at Haydock last month and is another to consider.
